The Chamber Orchestra “Virtuosos from Moscow” was created in 1979 by the recognized and virtuoso violinist Vladimir Spivakov, and friends of his group -creative collaborators- winners of internationals contests, soloists and firsts violins came from the best chamber and symphonic orchestras in the capital.
Thus, from the beginning of the group foundation, its high level performances was set up, so the orchestra could defended its ambitious name “Virtuosos from Moscow”.
The orchestra “Muscovite Virtuosos” differs from others numerous ones mainly by a true european culture of performing in ensemble, the attention to the single details and hues, delicate but not formal, active attitude towards the composer intention, the extraordinary performing art in live, and the devotion to the pieces performed and the audience at concerts.
In each performce “Virtuosos from Moscow” there aims providing a high level of playing, to captivate in an emotional and intellectual way to the whole audience, even to the people which are not educated, giving them the happiness of being able to appreciate the value of true music masterpieces, and raising them the desire of coming back to experience that wonderful state.

Since the orchestra was founded, the artistic manager, main conductor and soloist of “Virtuosos from Moscow” has been Vladimir Spivakov, reputed violinist, conductor, patron and an important public figure.
Many recordings from the huge discography of Vladimir Spivakov, as soloist and conductor were recognized with prestigious prizes, including the “Diapason D´or”. The german newspaper “Süddeutsche Zeitung” has, several times, considered to the Vladimir Spivakov albums as “the best of the year”.
Vladimir Spivakov studied orchestra conducting with the professor Israel Guzman in Russia, was teached by Leonard Bernstein and Lorin Maazel in United States. Bernstein, as a sign of friendship and faith in the Vladimir Spivakov future, gave him his baton as a present, from which he shall never part with until present day.
“Virtuosos from Moscow” is, without a doubt, one of the best chamber orchestra in the world, which has a faithful, grateful audience and an excellent reputation troughout the world, achieved across the years thanks to the persistent and creative artistic work.
